Image Upscaler: Upscale Images in Your Browser
Image Upscaler is a free Chrome extension that allows you to upscale images directly within your browser. With the help of artificial intelligence and a native HTML5 engine, this extension provides three different methods to upscale your images.
The default method uses the HTML5 Canvas API to upscale images up to 10 times their original size. The Canvas API utilizes a built-in interpolation method for pixel smoothing, resulting in a satisfactory upscale, although some details may be lacking and the image may not be as sharp as desired.
For more advanced upscaling, Image Upscaler offers two artificial intelligence methods. The first AI method is client-side and utilizes the UpscalerJS and TensorFlow libraries. This method allows for upscaling up to 8 times the original size. The second AI method is server-side and uses the ClipDrop API for upscaling up to 4 times the original size. Please note that for both AI methods, it is recommended to use smaller images as the upscaling process with artificial intelligence can be computationally expensive.
